AGV Expo 2026: PROXAUT unveils UNDER-X, the new compact AGV for intelligent fleets

From 22 to 24 October 2026, PROXAUT will take part in the first edition of AGV Expo 2026, the event dedicated to automated guided vehicles and automation for factories and warehouses.

For PROXAUT, this will be a particularly important event: during the show, we will introduce UNDER-X to the Italian market, the new compact automated guided vehicle designed to make AGV fleets increasingly flexible, intelligent and configurable.

UNDER-X: technical features of the new AGV

UNDER-X is an ultra-compact vehicle designed to optimize space and move efficiently within intelligent fleets. Despite its compact dimensions, it delivers high-level performance:

• Compact dimensions: just 96 cm long and 42 cm wide, with a height ranging from 30 to 50 cm depending on the installed load-handling system.
• High load capacity: ideal for transporting loads of up to 1,500 kg.
• Modularity and customization: the load-handling system is highly configurable and can be equipped with roller conveyors, load platforms, forks or customized solutions to meet each company's specific requirements.

Autonomous navigation and fleet retrofitting

UNDER-X also stands out for its navigation and surrounding-environment mapping systems.

Thanks to advanced LiDAR sensors, the vehicle continuously maps its real-world surroundings and navigates safely, avoiding both stationary and moving obstacles.

PROXAUT developed this intelligent mapping system with companies that already operate AGV systems in mind. Existing sensor equipment can be replaced and mapping software upgraded through targeted technology retrofit solutions.

These upgrades enable safe and flexible navigation without the need to install magnetic strips, magnets, reflectors or other physical devices along the route.

With UNDER-X, PROXAUT confirms its vision: to develop increasingly flexible, safe and configurable AGVs tailored to the specific requirements of every customer.
